Chris Richards joined Total Assurance in 2023 as the Compliance and Training Manager.
Chris joined Total Assurance after a dedicated legal career and subsequently practicing as a Financial Adviser with his own brokerage advising on Mortgages and Risk Insurance for over 10 years before selling that business. Chris has lived and worked both in Europe and South- East Asia and worked with Asteron life New Zealand for a period of 13 years as a Business Development Manager servicing Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.
Chris comes to Total Assurance with excellent communication skills, tertiary education, technical skills in Financial Services and broad business expertise. Chris is passionate about the Financial Services Industry, is well read and therefore stays abreast of all updates and regulatory requirements that may impact the industry from time to time.
Chris understands both the Professional and regulatory demands placed on Financial Advisers and enjoys supporting Financial Advisers attached to Total Assurance to meet their professional obligations, remain compliant and to provide excellent customer service to our clients by providing them with tailored advice that meets their unique individual needs.
Chris is a family man with three school aged children and therefore understands the need of families to protect their financial future. Chris has many personal interests including Travel, Coin Collecting, History, Documentaries, Current Affairs, Cycling and Surfing and played Rugby and Tennis at a very high standard.
